- In a mixing bowl add Curd and sugar,,mix well till sugar dissolves.
- Add oil and mix it well again
- Add flour,cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda.Combine all the ingredients
- Add milk and batter is ready to steam.
- Pour the batter in baking pot with lid,for this use regular steel box with lid and keep in the steamer.
- Steam the cake on low heat for 60 minutes and then check it with toothpick. Allow it to cool.
- Whip malai for 1 minute,add chocolate syrup and apply on top of the cake.
- Grate and sprinkle the chocolates on it,the cake is ready to be served.
Once the cake was done, I let it cool and then it was ready to be tasted. The most noticeable difference right off the bat is the exterior of the cake. Brown sugar and espresso powder gave the cake complexity, while sour cream added richness and a welcome tang. We liked the cake dusted with powdered sugar or topped with whipped cream. The chocolate chip topping is totally optional.
